Welcome to my home page for PlaMo. Don't know what "PlaMo" is? I was told that this is a term coined by the Japanese for "Plastic Model". You know, Japanese sometimes shorten some long Katagana terms into shorter ones. When those shortened Katagana terms are written (not translated!) in English, we have the "English terms" like "GunPla" (Gundam Plastic Model), "Mook" (Magazine Book), and so on. Anyway this is a home page for Japanese plastic models.
Probably some of you are wondering why I am limiting my work to only Japanese plastic models? Simply put, because of their quality, from design, manufacturing and all the way to packaging and promotion. I built an Alien worrior, which was made by a British manufacturer, more than ten years ago but I still remember the painful experience. When it comes to pain-in-the-neck experiences with the US/UK manufacturers, I do have a load of them. Indeed, I usually build Japanese sci-fi models, and they are very different from the western sci-fi models in terms of style and room for creativity.
When visitors browse this web page, they will quickly find that it is written in Chinese in most cases. However I am in the process of writing English desciption for all pages but this is a huge job. I think it will take me years to do so. (Well needless to say I am not working on this web site full time.) Nevertheless I believe the photos, especially those in-progress photos, will help non-Chinese visitors get some idea of my work.
