| 去年發生過好些新聞事件，一個吸引我注意的事件既不是 H1N1 病毒大流行也不是烏魯木齊騷亂，而是酒井法子和關楚耀+衛詩的毒品醜聞。巧合的是，酒井事件是在去年的香港電擊高達模型王大賽 後不久發生，令到我有靈感把高達模型和毒品問題聯系在一起。 | In 2009, there were quite some news events happened. The one that really caught my eyes was neither H1N1 pandemic nor Urumqi Riot. It was the drug scandals of Noriko Sakai and Kelvin Kwan + Jill Vidal. Coincidently, Sakai’s scandal happened shortly after the GunPla Competition in Hong Kong. This is why I want to put an anti-drug message in a GunPla. |
| 當我決定了題材之後，要解決的問題是如何表達它。我只在電光火石間想到這題材，亦立即決定去製作，但卻花了六個月的時間去思量怎去設計。第一個構思是利用兩個正在作戰的裝甲少女去演繹正邪之別。不過因為預想完成品會是相當之龐大，甚不適宜從加拿大搬回香港參賽，所以在未有作深入研究之前就打消了這念頭。不過這個構思孕育出兩個重要的想法。首先作品一定是單體模型，另外一正一邪的意念亦在腦中生了根。在這兩個裝甲少女之中，一個是正義的而另一個是邪惡的；問題成了我應該選擇用那一個去製作。雖然我遲遲未能決定，但那邪惡的一方以毒蛇去做其身體則早已敲定了。不過當時我是想用 Gundam Nadleeh 作其上身，因為它的中文暱稱是「人妖」，而其紅色的「頭髮」亦非常適合作為頭上的小蛇。當我買了一盒 1:100 Gundam Virtue 後，發現效果未如理想，最終也放棄使用這機體。在一個冬天的下午，我突然想到把手上已有的一部 1:100 Gundam Wing Custom Zero 作為上身，以表達天使墜入魔道的意思。這個「墮落天使」的表達方式基本上符合尺寸的限制，亦保留比較有趣的大蛇身和小頭蛇的製作。有趣的是，我直至電影《Clash of the Titans》上映前不久才知道戲中的 Medusa 也有類似的造型。 | Once I have decided the theme of the model, the next question is how to present the idea. It took me a split second to put the anti-drug message and GunPla together but it was another six months to finalize the presentation. The very first idea of presenting the idea was to use two armoured girls in combat. However, the size of the completed model would be so big that it would be very difficult to bring it to Hong Kong. A single armoured girl became the norm of this project. In the two-girl scenario, one was good and one was evil. The question became which one should I use. I could not decide on this for a long while but since I did have an idea of making the evil one with a serpent body, building the evil girls would be more interesting than building a good looking angelic girl, which would use Gundam Wing Zero Custom. The devilish girl was first depicted as a Gundam Nadleeh because its Chinese nickname “shemale” and its red “hair” was perfect for those snakes on her head. Thus I bought a 1:100 Gundam Virtue to test the idea but I did not like the result. It was a winter afternoon when I had an idea of turning an angelic armoured girl into a devil. This “Fallen Angel” idea meets the size constraint and keeps the most interesting characteristics of the serpent and small snakes. Interestingly enough, I only realized that Medusa in the movie Clash of the Titans has all characteristics of my Fallen Angel shortly before the release of the movie. |
| 我在四月初才開始製作，因為預期模型不必造得公整細緻，最重要是能夠表達得到信息。蛇的身體是先把廚房用薄鋁箔搓成條狀擺出蜷曲形態，再在上面鋪上原子灰和造型畢地。人身的部分也是以類似的方法製作。當蛇身造好外型後，我就鋪上三層薄膠板作為盔甲。每一層 0.5mm 的膠板以普通膠水層疊在一起，但最下一層膠板則黐在不同大小的圓柱上，以造出不同弧度的盔甲。人身上的甲片是用了 1:100 HG Gundam Wing Zero Custom 和 SD 版的零件製成。頭上的小蛇和一雙翅膀都是用混合畢地製作，不過當中以金屬線作補強吧。最後，那個加、加、加大碼「K 仔」是用了高密度發泡膠製成。 | I started building the model in April because I knew that the finished product need not be perfectly sanded or carefully painted. The body of the serpent was wrapped and bent aluminum foil covered by auto body putty and polyester putty. The human part was also made using a similar method. Once the serpent’s putty body was done, I covered it with a suite of armour made by styrene sheets. Three 0.5mm styrene sheets were layered onto various sizes of cylinders to create the curved armour. The human putty body was covered by model parts from 1:100 HG Gundam Wing Zero Custom and the SD counterpart of the Mobile Suit. The scale on the serpent was small beads covered by a layer of thinned putty. The pair of wings and the small snakes were made of epoxy putty reinforced by metal wires. Finally, the oversized ketamine pill is made of high-density foam. |
| 模型的地台是以水性模型油塗上，而蛇身上的盔甲則以郡是油性油以打霧法噴上。最後，蛇的麟體和人的身軀都是用了 Winsor & Newton 塑膠彩繪上，六條小蛇亦然。 | The armours were painted using GSI lacquer paints. On the other hand, the serpent’s scale and the human exposed parts were painted using Winsor & Newton acrylic paint to enhance the texture the surfaces. |
| 有兩點以正視聽。首先氯胺酮多數不是以藥丸的形式服食，不過維基上關於氯胺酮一文中的一幅相片令我長期以為是如此服用。另外長期使用氯胺酮可能導致尿失禁但不是大便失禁。在地面加上糞便並不是顯示病癥，而是要間接表明黃色液體是尿矣。 | It is noteworthy that katamine is mostly not taken by swallowing pills. The pill shown on the Wikipedia page gave me such an idea for a long time. Also, chronic use of the drug may cause urinary incontinence but not faecal incontinence. The faeces on the ground are symptomatically unnecessary. However, they are included to suggest that the yellow puddles represent urine. |
