| 這艘亞爾比昂號是來自動畫「機動戰士 0083」，自己一直很喜歡它的設計，所以萬代在 EX 系模型推出這戰艦之前已經買了 MSIA 的版本。但正因為已經擁有一艘，故此這模型的初版反而當年沒有購入，直到再版時才匆匆買下。 | This ship came from the Gundam OAV (original animation video) "Gundam 0083". I always like this ship, and I even bought the MSiA version before Bandai released the model kit in its EX series in September, 2003. Because of this reason, I did not buy the model, which is quite expensive, when it was first released. I got it only when Bandai re-released the kit in 2004. |

| 萬代的 EX 系列模型以小眾但較精巧去托起一個較高昂的售價，故此是否物有所值就視乎當時市場是否有類似的商品和顧客對該機體的喜愛程度。而以萬代的水平而言，這艘亞爾比昂號的確比 MG 系模型更精巧；但如果用 1:1700 比例模型去衡量的話，部份刻線仍略隒過粗，不過這要求已經近乎吹毛求疵了。而可能 EX 系是針對小眾模型迷而並非蓬迎玩具迷，故此部件的分色和夾口的吻合則稍遜於 MG 系模型。 | This model is smaller than the MSiA version but it is more elegant than its bigger counterpart. The surface panel lines on this model are much finer than the MSiA version but I would like them to be even finer for a model of scale 1:1700. Nevertheless the model surpasses the MG series in terms of details. Unfortunately the EX series is never intended for the mass market, thus the production quantity is relatively small and thus the price is relatively high. As a modeller, I certainly prefer the EX version to the MSiA one, which is like a toy for kids. |

| 其實這模型在七月下旬就已經噴好了色，在滲線之前還噴了一層透明保護色以便抹走滲線用的琺瑯油。但在抹走溢出的滲線時才發現，原來那層透明保護油也是琺瑯性質(買錯了），結果用琺瑯稀釋劑一抹時，模型表面就好像曝晒甩皮一樣。但因為模型值¥3500，而且當時以為市場缺貨，故此決定洗去所有水性及琺瑯性油從新再上色。今次洗油的方法是參考了臺灣極致 24 網主的做法，使用汽車的煞車油去做。這方法不錯，琺瑯油層被煞車油浸得剝落了，水性油層則被煞車油溶解了；而塑膠的質地只輕微變弱，沒有出現嚴重爆膠的情況。但一如我之前所料，模型上的修補畢地和（郡氏）油性底灰也一拼被煞車油洗掉，要從新修補打磨一次。但因為之前的製作已近尾聲，部份零件已用膠水組合起來，因此在第二次打磨和上色徒增困難。 | 2005 is definitely not a good year in my modelling life. The model finished painting back in July. Before I drew the panel lines using enamel black paint, I sprayed a clear coat for protection. I thought that was lacquer coat but it turned out to be enamel dull coat. Therefore when I wiped the excessive black paint off the panel lines, disaster happened. Since the kit is quite costly and I thought it was out-of-production, I decided to strip the paint and do the paint job all over again. I took the advice from a Taiwanese auto model site and used automobile brake fluid to get rid of the old paint. The method worked quite well, there was not much damage on the plastic, and the acrylic paint and lacquer primer are all gone. Just as I suspected, the putty was gone as well. As a result the re-painting process took a long while to finish. Furthermore it was quite difficult to work on this kit once again because some parts were glued beforehand. |

| 今次的塗裝是用了水性油和深底噴法，陰影的底色是黑色，白色是 H1，紅色是 H3，黃色是 H4，而機械色灰色是用了 H317。 | I used GSI acrylic paint on this model. Black was applied first as an undercoat for the shade. The top paint layers are GSI's white (H1), red (H3), yellow (H4) and grey (H317), pretty simple! |

| 這模型雖然不是太滿意，但也算是排除萬難完成了，可以繼續砌其他模型了。另外這作品是這新網站成立後的第一作，而且亦是首個完成品用新買的數碼攝影機拍照，可謂有點紀念價值。 | I am glad to have this model finally done. By the way, it turns out to be the first model after this web site was set up in July. Moreover the photos were taken using my new Canon PowerShot S2IS camera. The 0-cm macro distance is quite useful to take some of these shots. |
